Lets talk about FOOD!

I have read a wonderful little book called Food Rules, which I highly recommend. This book has given me precious insights on what should my family eat. I know I'm kind of obsessed with health eating but I’m still on a discovery journey. Things that really stuck were what Michael Pollan says about eating foods that eventually go bad and mold because they are real foods. Everything should be as unprocessed as possible like brown rice, whole grain pasta, and we should eat mostly plants. I have been slowly changing the menu at home and everybody is happy. I hardly ever use sugar on anything anymore. Instead I use stevia, agave or erythritol.

This week I watched the Food Revolution with Jamie Oliver and I am stunned of how people live in denial about their eating habits. I hope people realize the importance of cooking most of their meals at home with real foods. I’m very passionate about this and I’m trying to get my family involved. Some resist others embrace it. Yay!
